The Singapore Colour Photographic Society (SCPS) has the proficiency and achievement categories of distinction awards for members.

Type of Distinction: Proficiency

12photos proficient

 

Associateship (ASCPS)

The distinction award is open to any photographic enthusiast who possesses a high degree of proficiency in photography to apply, or any person who has already obtained the Associateship Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) qualification could also apply for the ASCPS distinction award directly.

Fellowship (FSCPS)

The distinction award is open only to members who are already Associates of SCPS and denotes distinguished ability in a particular field, or any person with ARPS qualification and successfully obtained ASCPS qualification could also submit their application.

The Honorary Awards (Hon. SCPS / Hon. FSCPS)

This distinction award (not open for application by members) is occasionally conferred by the Society to members or any other person who has made a very distinguished contribution to photography or to the work of the Society. The conferring of Hon. Award will be review by the Distinctions Award management council and approved by the committee of SCPS. The nomination of the Hon. Awards must be proposed by a minimum of 2 Management Committee members.

 

Review of ASCPS/FSCPS applications is carried out twice yearly in the months of June and December. Applicants who have successfully conferred Associateship (ASCPS) or Fellowship (FSCPS) must apply for life membership with payment of the life membership fees.

To apply: Applications of ASCPS and FSCPS distinction titles are open twice for a calendar year. Application package should reach SCPS Distinction Group before end of June or December for the first or second session of the year respectively. Interested party should email SCPS Distinction Group to express his/her intent for the application, arrangement for the submission and payment. Distinction badges

 

Exhibitor (ESCPS)

This award is open for:

1) Those who have a total of NINE (9) entries accepted in the same section (either in PID-C, PID-M, ND or PTD section) from any International Salon Exhibition organised by SCPS. In other words, acceptances need to be in the same section to qualify for the award. Example: if a participant has 9 acceptances in Nature (ND) section, he or she is qualify for the ESCPS title award; or

2) Those who have obtained AFIAP or PSA 3 Stars qualification and above.

Honorary Exhibitor (Hon. ESCPS)

This award is open for:

1) Those who have a total of FIFTEEN (15) entries accepted in the same section (either in PID-C, PID-M, ND or PTD section) from any International Salon Exhibition organised by SCPS. In other words, acceptances need to be in the same section to qualify for the award; or

2) Successful participants who have ESCPS title, will need another Twelve (12) entries accepted in the similar section to qualify for the award. Example: a participant has ESCPS title awarded previously from a 9-acceptance in Nature (ND) section, and now achieved 12 acceptances from Photo Travel (PTD) section, he or she is qualify for the Hon.ESCPS title award; or

3) Those who have obtained EFIAP or PSA 5 Stars qualification and above.

        

Applicants who have successfully conferred ESCPS or Hon.ESCPS must apply for life membership with payment of the life membership fees.

To apply: applications for achievement distinction titles are all year round but applicant should expect a 2-month period to receive the his or her new earned title if the application is successful.
